Garden steps to match your paving

Steps are often the most used part of a garden, so they need to be safe and strong. Our bullnosed step treads have a rounded front edge that is comfortable underfoot and gives a professional finish, and corner pieces let you turn steps around a patio edge.

Steps are available to match our riven sandstone, limestone, smooth sandstone, granite and porcelain ranges. For a chunkier, traditional look, solid block steps are cut from thick sandstone. Long treads mean fewer joints on wide flights.

Frequently asked questions

What is a bullnosed step?

A bullnosed step has a rounded front edge instead of a sharp corner, which is safer and more comfortable underfoot.

Do steps match the paving?

Yes. Steps come in the same stone and colour as our paving ranges, so the patio and steps look like one design.

How are garden steps laid?

Step treads are laid on a full mortar bed over a solid riser, usually built from brick or blockwork, with a slight fall to shed water.
