Why choose limestone paving
Limestone gives a flatter, more consistent finish than sandstone, with fewer colour variations across the patio. It suits contemporary gardens and clean architectural lines, but works just as well in traditional settings. Midnight Kota Black is deep black when wet and weathers to a soft charcoal, Ocean Kota Blue has smoky blue tones, and Sandur Yellow brings warm honey colours.

Frequently asked questions
Does black limestone fade?
Dark limestones such as Midnight Kota Black naturally lighten to a charcoal grey in strong sunlight and return to a deeper black when wet. A colour enhancing sealer helps keep a darker tone.
Is limestone paving slippery?
Riven limestone has a gently textured surface that gives good grip outdoors. Keeping the patio clean of algae and moss is the best way to keep any paving safe underfoot.
Can I use limestone for a driveway?
Use thicker limestone setts and cobbles for driveways. Paving slabs are designed for patios and paths with foot traffic.
