Budget concrete paving
Concrete paving slabs are a practical, low cost choice for areas where function matters more than appearance, such as paths, shed and greenhouse bases, bin stores and utility areas. They are consistent in size and thickness, which makes them quick to lay.
Choose from riven buff and black slabs with a textured face, smooth buff slabs, or thick pressed concrete slabs for heavier use. For a feature patio or seating area, we recommend one of our natural stone or porcelain ranges instead.
Frequently asked questions
Are concrete slabs suitable for a patio?
They can be used, but they are best suited to practical areas. Natural stone or porcelain paving gives a better finish for a main patio.
How thick are budget paving slabs?
Thickness varies by product and is listed on each product page at LSD and Hardcores. Pressed concrete slabs are thicker and stronger than standard budget slabs.
Can concrete slabs take vehicles?
Standard paving slabs are designed for foot traffic. For driveways, use block paving, setts or a gravel grid system.
