Granite paving for a modern patio

Granite is one of the hardest natural stones available, which makes it very durable and resistant to wear. Our granite paving has a flamed surface, created by heat treating the face of the slab, which gives a textured, non-slip finish and a subtle sparkle in sunlight.

Choose Light Grey for a bright, clean look, Dark Grey for a contemporary feel, or Black granite planks for a striking linear design. The slabs are calibrated to an even thickness for straightforward laying, and they pair well with our granite setts, cobbles and bullnosed steps.

Frequently asked questions

Is granite paving better than sandstone?

Granite is harder and more uniform in colour, so it suits modern designs. Sandstone offers more natural colour variation and a more traditional look. Both are long lasting when laid correctly.

Does granite paving need sealing?

Granite is dense and absorbs very little water, so sealing is optional. A sealer can help resist oil and food stains in cooking and dining areas.

What does flamed granite mean?

The surface is treated with a high temperature flame, which slightly textures the stone for grip and gives it a weathered, natural finish.
